Where Are You, God?

Where are you, God?

Why did you abandon me?

I can no longer hear you in my heart,

My head is drowning out your voice.

I pray day and night,

Desperate for your guidance.

A voice I once heard,

It is so distant it's barely a whisper.

Sermons and lectures preach hypocrisy,

So, if you are a forgiving God,

Why do I feel ashamed to be in your house?

Is Christianity a lie?

The Bible is man's interpretation of Your word,

The Bible should be a way of life,

We are not hypocrites for walking with you,

While supporting women's rights.

Where are you, God?

I feel abandoned by you.

My heart no longer hears your words,

My head drowns out your voice.

The world is in chaos,

Judgment is all around us.

We need to keep your love alive,

Without judgment and hypocrisy.

Desperate for your guidance,

Avoiding toxic manipulation,

It is easier said than done, but

Sermons and lectures preach hypocrisy.

When will we all stand up,

When will we all say,

"We've had enough?"

The world is in chaos.

Where are you, God?

I feel abandoned by you.

A voice I once heard,

It is so distant it's barely a whisper.
